This table was designed to fit comfortably in a small dining room with the option to expand for occasional large gatherings. To this end, the sculptural pedestal base was made in two halves that can be separated as the table expands. Engineering this feature was an interesting and tricky challenge.
The top is a subtle pattern, pieced together in walnut burl veneer. The pattern is continuous no matter how the leaves are installed.
